what a facade!

This post refers to my last post.
I had published it with the information that I had. After reading Jane's comments I thoroughly read the material available on the mentioned temple.
I am shocked!!!
Wearing masks for selfish ends is the way of the world but when Buddhist monks resort to these masks for publicity and other motives it is more appalling.
Genuineness ...stark, pure, naked genuineness in all its shades is the path that leads to the Ultimate.
I am publishing below the comment posted by Jane.
With regards to the notorious Tiger Temple in Kanchanaburi, Thailand: Following repeated complaints from tourists and volunteers working at the temple about tigers being shockingly mistreated there, Care for the Wild International (CWI) undertook an intensive two year investigation. The resulting CWI report reveals illegal wildlife trade, animal cruelty, false conservation claims and visitor safety risks at the Temple. You can read the report at: http://www.careforthewild.com/projects.asp?detail=true&I_ID=580&mypage=ReportsYou can view the letter sent by the International Tiger Coalition to the Thai authorities about the Tiger Temple here:http://www.careforthewild.com/files/itc_letter_oct_08.pdfThis issue has widespread media coverage:CWI's press release - "Illegal tiger trade, cruelty and human health hazards at famous tourist destination": http://www.careforthewild.com/files/tt_news_release%2020-06-08.pdf"Black market tigers linked to Thai Temple, Reports says"National Geographic News, 20 June 2008: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2008/06/080620-tiger-temple.html

Meditation-the only magic and miracle in this world

The tiger temple in thailand is a place where an extraordinary bond between man and the world's biggest cats has been formed.. The tigers here are so peacefulits almost as if they have accepted buddhism as their religion. In fact, they even sit for the meditating sessions with the monks and kneel down in front of them as if they are the gurus. The tigers are so docile that the monks have to sometimes train them to fight otherwise they would lose all their power of self protection. The link started in 1999 when a sick baby tiger, orphaned after poachers shot its mother, was brought to the monks. Within a few years several other tiger cubs similarly orphaned by poachers had arrived. The most amazing thing is none of the cubs turned out ferocious on growing up. The monks believe that these tigers are none other than the former buddhist disciples who have taken rebirth in the same place.

love is a bridge

"Remember the three L's: life, love, light. Life is given to you; you are alive. Light is present, but you have to make a bridge between life and light. That bridge is love. With these three L's you can make a total way of life, a way of being, a new way of being. "- Osho. The Beloved, Vol 1, Chapter #9, It is always god who loves

let love be your prayer

"trees are in love with the earth; the earth is in love with the trees. the birds are in love with the trees; the trees are in love with the birds. the earth is in love with the sky; the sky is in love with the earth. the whole existence exists in a great ocean of love. let love be your worship, let love be your prayer." osho

love

Love is not a path. Love is a merger with an individual, a deep intimacy of two hearts -- so deep that the two hearts start dancing in the same harmony. Although the hearts are two, the harmony is one, the music is one, the dance is one. - Osho
